Keyboard Settings for Gaming Performance
For FPS/MOBA play, input consistency beats theoretical minimum latency. Start with 1000 Hz polling, 2–5 ms debounce, and N‑key rollover to avoid blocking.
Polling and debounce
Higher polling reports more often to the PC. Too-low debounce risks chatter (double presses); 2–5 ms is stable for most switches.
OS and in-game
- Windows key repeat: medium-high for control, not max.
- Prefer single-purpose short macros over long chains.
- Use motherboard rear USB ports; avoid hubs for critical peripherals.
Practice
Warm-up with WASD patterns and directional combos for 5 minutes. Chase repeatability. Stable rhythm wins fights.
